Charming Minimalism: Bellavista’s Showpieces at the Salone del mobile 2023

Being a recognized designer and producer of Italian luxury furniture, Bellavista Collection regularly participates in the Salone Internazionale del Mobile – the oldest and the most influential trade event in the industry. Each time this brand presents its showpieces as an organized collection, which is perceived as a whole.

It is no news, in fact. Any professional designer will say that having a cohesive design concept can make all the difference. By selecting furniture pieces that share a common theme or aesthetic, you can create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. Choosing the right color palette and materials also matters a lot. All in all, such a unified collection of furniture makes the design of a space feel complete, creating a sense of visual unity.

The Feel of a Real Home

Bellavista Collection has long been making the most of this approach. The brand’s exhibitor booth at the Salone usually resembles an apartment, chic-looking yet comfy, where everyone would be glad to live. Every piece, from sofas and armchairs to lamps, mirrors, and decorative elements serves this very purpose.

The exhibitor booth is divided into several zones, such: a living-room area, a bedroom, etc. They are separated using various structures that can serve as space partitioners, like headboards, boiserie and curtains.

What is more, the group of items, prepared for a particular edition of the Salone, is in line with some general idea. The last year’s collection, for example, was devoted to the irresistible Beauty of Nature; it featured highlighted texture of natural fine wood (e.g., TREE sideboard and bar unit) and shapes making one think of fauna (DALIA table lamp).

This year, the general concept has everything to do with laconicism and minimalism.

Although Bellavista style is all about timeless elegance of simple lines and neutral colors, this furniture collection is created with a special emphasis on these characteristics. By focusing on clean, minimalistic designs, these furniture pieces exude a sense of sophistication and timelessness.

Ingenious Simplicity and Beautiful Functionality

The charm of simplicity lies in its ability to convey elegance and refinement through minimalism. When it comes to furniture design, well-thought-out simplicity can create a timeless and versatile look.

By focusing on clean lines and shapes, modest-looking and neat details, and high-quality materials, Bellavista Collection creates pieces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Simplicity evokes the feeling of harmony and balance, emphasizing the essential features of each piece without unnecessary adornment. As a result, the entire collection, prepared for the 2023 edition of the Salone, feels refined and stylish, elevating any interior space with its understated elegance.

Essentiality is one more key word when describing Bellavista’s showpieces. This approach prioritizes such essential features as practicality, durability, and versatility.

Bellavista Collection has always preferred focusing on timeless beauty to following ever-changing trends of fashion. That is why, brilliant designs by Attilio Zanni, the brand’s co-founder and chief designer, never go out of vogue.

Bellavista proudly calls itself an Italian company; each piece is made in Italy from A to Z. The brand sprouted from a family-owned private workshop that cherishes centuries-old traditions of local cabinet makers.

There is one more thing that makes Bellavista Collection’s display at the Salone stand out: the brand successfully combines time-proven bestsellers with newly designed items, creating a cohesive and visually pleasing whole. This year’s collection is no exception.

Current and Future Bestsellers at the Salone del Mobile 2023

There isn’t much time left before the 61st edition of the Salone Internazionale del mobile: it is going twill take place between April 8 and 23, 2023. Most of the items Bellavista Collection is going to showcase are kept secret so far. Only names are known about the entirely new furniture pieces: ESSENTIAL, ELEONOIRE, MARGARET, STING…  Should you visit Milan Fairgrounds at Rho during the exhibition, you’ll see them at Hall 3 of Xlux section, stand E-21.

However, some of the showpieces you can find on the brand’s website right now. Interestingly, you’ll never tell which one was first presented to the public last year (it’s MICHELANGELO dining table, by the way), and which is about a decade old (JOSEPHINE sofa, designed in 2013). Let’s take a look at some of them.

MICHELANGELO dining table belongs to the recently created small collection of tables named Michelangelo e I Preziosi. This collection, whose name means ‘Precious’ in English, unites several tables, decorated with marble and semi-precious stones like malachite, tiger’s eye and amethyst.

The base and the round top of MICHELANGELO table are made of the finest kind of Carrara marble, named Statuario. Famous sculptors, including Michelangelo Buonarotti, chose this stone for their masterpieces.

A free-standing wardrobe HAMILTON belongs to the 2020/2021 collection. Its structure, made of natural solid wood, is veneered with carbone larch, while the outer sides of its doors are covered with Bellavista Nuances finish. The handles on these doors, made of cast brass with an antique bronze finish, bear an image of a four-leaf clover – a symbol of good luck. The handles of the drawer unit are decorated with an engraved outline of a hippopotamus, Bellavista Collection’s mascot.

Figures of hippopotamuses or lion paws serve as the feet of JASMINE. This large floor-standing mirror with a thick wooden frame (five options available) looks sophisticated indeed.

So does JOSEPHINE sofa, a decade-old bestseller. Solid moka stained ashwood of its base goes extremely well with upholstery, that could be made of either fabric or leather. JOSEPHINE is offered in as many as four size options, which makes it a great pick for any room, whatever its size.

The overall look of ISABELLA floor lamp resembles a wilted flower, with the raffia lampshade, attached to the arched pole. This lamp is a part of the extremely successful Dulcechina Collection – a group of twelve pieces, created in 2018.

Browsing through these – and many more – remarkable products from Bellavista Collection, you’ll realize that elegance of simple lines has always been a hallmark of Bellavista Collection’s design. You will surely appreciate this style that outlasts ephemeral trends of modern fashion.
